The Best Places to Eat in New Orleans:
A Neighborhood by Neighborhood Guide
My wife and I recently got married right here in New Orleans. While I know our friends and family would have come no matter where we got hitched, having the wedding in New Orleans, a city famous for its food, music, and nightlife was an extra bonus for many of them. To help our guests out, we combined our 20 years of experience living here to put together a list of some of our favorite places to eat ranging from high-end restaurants to gas stations, from French bakeries to convenience stores. So without further ado, here are some of the best places to eat in New Orleans.
Bon appetit’!
Food Suggestions by Neighborhood
Marigny/Bywater neighborhoods:
The Joint — Texas-style pit BBQ (closed Sundays for some damn reason)
Marie’s Slap Burger — This started as a pop-up and has quickly become a huge favorite that sometimes sells out
St Roch Market — Has a food court with an international selection of food stands including laksa from SE Asia.
